Duration (Years): 2
Second Term: None
Graduation Title: Occupational Health and Safety Technician
The Occupational Health and Safety Program was established in 2014 and began its education and training activities with 55 students in 2017. Educational programs are supported by industry-experienced academic staff, alternative education systems, and the physical conditions provided by the College. Students who graduate as technical personnel receive training in the subjects specified in the legislation at educational institutions authorized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and are awarded a "Class C Occupational Safety Specialist" certificate upon successful completion of the ÖSYM exam.
Our program will implement a 3+1 Business-based Vocational Training model starting in the 2024-2025 academic year. In the Business-based Vocational Training model (3+1): The four-term program consists of three semesters of formal education and one semester of full-time practical training in businesses/institutions. The 3+1 Workplace Practice training model aims to develop sound decision-making skills by applying the knowledge and skills students acquire through training in workplaces in relevant sectors. It also provides opportunities for students to gain on-the-job experience and understand their responsibilities in the workplace, including employer-employee relations, organizational, production and occupational safety systems, and new technologies, where they will serve as qualified professionals.
This program consists of three semesters of in-school education and one semester of mandatory in-company vocational training.
